Preface

Since man is living in society he was doing an economic transaction by exchanging goods. With the change in time instead of exchanging goods many other things were used. But in 1776, Prof. Adam Smith wrote a novel "Wealth of Nations," economics got a new identity. As time passed, economics developed by all means. When a country needed development, we have to plan for the development of it and indeed it is not possible without economics. Economics also helps a person to plan for his family regarding economic situations and problems.

By keeping the above importance in view, here in Ramkrushna Mahavidyalaya, Darapur, the economic subject was established in 2000. For teaching, a professor was appointed for the subject on a clock hour basis. On 15-6-2009, Dr. Rajesh Burange got appointed as a full-time professor. However, he resigned on 20-10-2010, and then on 1 Aug 2011, Mr. Khemanand S. Fulzele was appointed to the same post.
